Visteon to Showcase Technology Demonstration Vehicles and Other Mobile Electronics Innovations at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Jan. 4, 2011; Visteon Corporation, a leading global automotive supplier, will showcase its latest mobile electronics innovations at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Jan. 6-9. Highlights will include the North American debut of Visteon's C-Beyond technology demonstration vehicle ,featuring more than 40 innovative products in infotainment and connectivity, climate, interior systems and exterior lighting ,and a new technology demonstration vehicle developed with 3M and targeted at consumers in growth markets around the world.

In addition to these in-vehicle demonstrations, Visteon will share innovations in vehicle cockpit electronics and human machine interaction ,encompassing audio, infotainment, connectivity, driver information and integrated control panels ,through a range of interactive displays at its exhibit in the Central Plaza (CP20) outside the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The C-Beyond, developed on a C-segment vehicle body, demonstrates how seamless connectivity and sustainable mobility may influence how consumers interact with their vehicles in the near future. It features concepts ranging from advanced navigation with pre-journey planning and real time traffic updates to precision controls with advanced haptic feedback. The C-Beyond has received enthusiastic reviews from vehicle manufacturers throughout Europe, Japan and China.

Through the Growth Market Vehicle Project, Visteon and 3M, a recognized leader in research and development ,have developed products specifically targeted at delivering exceptional value for both passenger cars and two-wheelers in rapidly growing markets, such as those in Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.

  • Intuitive controls including gesture recognition, haptics, multifunction controllers, reconfigurable displays and the iPad as an interface to the in-vehicle infotainment system; and
