PARIS – January 4, 2010: From today - 4th January, 2011 - two stylish Citroen models can enter London’s congestion charge zone free-of-charge.

With CO2 emissions of just 99g/km, Citroën’s distinctive DS3 DStyle 99g and elegant C3 Airdream+ are eligible for the new Greener Vehicle 100% Discount (GVD) - meaning these two stylish and environmentally conscious models can now enter London’s congestion charge zone for free.

Under the new rules, drivers of cars emitting 100g/km of CO2 or less and which comply with the Euro 5 standard for air quality, are no longer required to pay the London Congestion Charge - potentially saving London drivers up to £2,500 per year.

Owners of qualifying cars, including DS3 and New C3 99g models, are required to register their vehicles under the GVD scheme to benefit from the 100% discount.

Linda Jackson, Citroën UK Managing Director commented; “This change further highlights the importance of driving cleaner, greener cars in urban environments. Citroën is continuing to make significant progress in reducing emissions across its whole vehicle range and encouraging drivers to make environmentally conscious driving decisions. The two Citroën models now exempt from the congestion charge demonstrate that a greener choice does not mean compromising on style, comfort or driving pleasure.”

Both GVD qualifying Citroën models achieve combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg and also qualify for free VED, potentially providing further annual savings.
