SYDNEY – October 29, 2010: Residents from the Riverina and its surrounds will now have access to Kia vehicle sales, service and parts following the announcement of Griffith Kia.

The new agreement will see Kia’s latest range of vehicles added to Griffith Motor Group’s portfolio of brands in the one-stop showroom, offering sales, service and parts all located at 1 Griffin St, Griffith.

Dealer Principal Ian Parker believes that the addition of Kia to the business will have a positive impact on the dealership and is anticipating plenty of local interest in the new addition.

“I’ve been running dealerships in regional Australia for over 25 years,” Mr Parker said. “We are well networked, we employ the best staff and we are confident the Kia brand will deliver a mix of product and price that will be very well received by residents and visitors to Griffith.

“I believe that Kia has a great deal to offer the Australian market and I look forward to working with Kia to improve brand awareness and sales here in the Griffith area.”

Kia Motors Australia President and CEO, Mr MK Kim, is similarly excited to have the support of such a prominent dealer in the Riverina.

“We’re pleased that Griffith Motor Group has decided to support the Kia brand in the Riverina,” Mr Kim said. “They offer nearly three decades of regional automotive sales, service and parts experience in a large region of over 24,000 people.”

In more recent months Kia has launched a number of new vehicles in Australia which have been ‘locally optimised’. This means engineers and vehicle dynamic specialists have spent countless hours ensuring all new Kia vehicles launched in Australia are set up specifically for local drivers and conditions.

“Particular attention has been paid to suspension and steering,” Mr Kim said. “We wanted to make sure that all new vehicles provide the best possible road feel and feedback, especially when travelling the high speed and sometimes rough open roads common to Griffith and the surrounding regions.”

The latest vehicles to receive the local touch up are the all new Sportage released in August this year and the entire Cerato range including the sedan and Koup as well as the brand new 5-door hatch which will now be available from Griffith Kia.
