PARIS – October 22, 2010: Now the unique Citroen Berlingo First packs an even greater payload punch. The latest upgrade of this perennially popular van sees it benefit from a major increase in payload from 600kg to 749kg. To reflect its 25% payload boost, this model is now designated as the Berlingo First 750.

Competitively priced at just £11,435 MRBP*, the Berlingo First 750’s payload increase has been achieved as part of a package of changes, which includes the addition of an underbody engine protection plate and suspension revisions. As a result, the van’s gross vehicle weight has increased from 1,730kg to 1,955kg and braked trailer towing capacity has been raised to 1,070kg.

The Berlingo First 750 is well equipped with a specification that includes high-frequency remote control central locking, electric front windows, an electrically adjustable passenger side door mirror and a near-side sliding side load door as part of its standard equipment.

Robert Handyside, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, comments; “The well-proven Berlingo First is now an even better budget choice for van buyers. With its latest payload and towing gains, this van remains a practical and economical choice for a wide range of businesses.”
