MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – October 19, 2010: Within days of winning the Fleet Van Manufacturer of the Year Award, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has also been named as the LCV Manufacturer of the Year at the GreenFleet Awards 2010.

‘GreenFleet is delighted to award Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles with the title of LCV Manufacturer of the Year for a number of reasons. The environmental improvements made to the new Transporter, coupled with the two new Caddy BlueMotion Technology models featuring Stop/Start and battery regeneration systems, will make a massive difference to anyone operating a commercial fleet,’ said Colin Boyton, Marketing Manager, GreenFleet Awards.

‘In such difficult times, fuel economy is pivotal in reducing the operational costs of running any fleet, and when you add the environmental benefits that Volkswagen can add, it really is a win-win fleet solution. On this basis, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is a worthy winner of the Award this year,’ he continued.

With the new Transporter launched earlier this year and the new Caddy arriving in Van Centre showrooms in November, the Volkswagen range of commercial vehicles is one of the most up to date available with economical Euro5 emissions across the range and safety features such as ESP, as well as award-winning aftersales support from the Van Centre network.

‘Two top awards is a great achievement and really proves that the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand has an outstanding range of products,’ said Simon Elliott, Director, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
