GENEVA – Sept 23, 2010: Last Friday, the Geneva International Motor Show Committee designated a successor to Mr. Luc Argand, the President of the Show since 2004. Mr. Maurice Turrettini will take over his role starting July, 2011. His second in command will be Mr. Andre Hefti as Managing Director, who will take over from Mr. Rolf Studer effective from April 1, 2011.

Responding to the wishes of the current President, Mr. Luc Argand and his Managing Director, Mr. Rolf Studer to retire conjointly following the 81st

Geneva International Motor Show in 2011, the Committee respectively the Council of the Show, have elected their successors. During their meeting on September 17, 2010, the Committee decided that Mr. Maurice Turrettini would become President, following the naming of Mr. Andre Hefti as Managing Director by the Council last June.

Mr. Maurice Turrettini, an attorney from Geneva, was born in Vandoeuvres in the Canton of Geneva in 1961. He is a partner in the law firm of Poncet Turrettini Amaudruz Neyroud & Associates in Geneva. Mr. Turrettini is also a connoisseur of the automobile world.

Mr. Andre Hefti, born in Zurich in 1947, has his professional career to the marque Renault. He is perfectly bilingual and has been assigned Director of Communications for the last 15 years. Hefti is noted for his passion for motor sports. He was one of the originators of the Renault 5 Cup in Switzerland and of the Formula Renault series.

Having held their positions for the last 7 years, the President, Luc Argand, and the Managing Director, Rolf Studer will continue in their functions until after the Motor Show in 2011. Remember that they have lived through and successfully managed in one of the most difficult periods for the Motor Show since its creation, with the economic crisis which profoundly affected the automobile industry in 2009. Since then the market seems to be recovering and the 81st edition, to be held from March 3-13, 2011, looks to be very promising. The requests from potential exhibitors have already surpassed the space available at Palexpo.
