Head Of Nissan Financial Services Australia Appointed To Global Strategy Role

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Sept 8, 2010: Nissan Financial Services Australia (NFSA) has announced that its Executive Director, George Leondis has accepted a promotion to the position of General Manager Global Corporate Strategy based in Nissan’s Headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.

In his new role, Leondis will be responsible for developing Nissan’s strategic corporate partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions and equity investments, to enable Nissan to accelerate its global growth.

Leondis’ elevation to the position follows his successful introduction of NFSA in 2008 and its subsequent growth. NFSA has secured substantial funding to continue its strong growth and to provide Nissan Australia with a competitive advantage, in its unique integration and collaboration with the manufacturer.

Importantly, Leondis will remain a director of NFSA after he commences in his new role in Japan on October 1.

Dan Thompson, CEO of Nissan Australia, will assume temporary leadership of NFSA until a successor is found. He will be supported by Wayne Stevenson, Head of Sales and Marketing NFSA.
