Space still available for fans to sign up for unique adventure and vacation experience

VERO BEACH, Aug. 23, 2010: Fans of sports-car racing and the movie "Le Mans" have a unique opportunity to join racing champion Brian Redman and a group of fellow motorsports legends in a fun, first-class, even educational, vacation adventure in Cancun, Mexico, Feb. 2-7, 2011.

In conjunction with Steve Austin's Great Vacations and Redman's Targa Sixty Six vintage racing organization, the inaugural Gathering of Legends Racers Symposium will be held at the Hilton Cancun Golf and Spa Resort and will include such notable racing personalities as Richard Attwood, Derek Bell, Vic Elford, Hurley Haywood, David Hobbs, and others to be announced. Among them, they count 90 24 Hours of Le Mans starts in their careers.

To add an American racing perspective, three-time Indy 500 and 13-time Pikes Peak champion Bobby Unser will join the roster.

The event is intended as a week-long "pre-spring break for adults.” Attendees will not only bask in the warm weather as winter rages elsewhere, but will listen to hilarious racing stories from drivers of the Golden Age of sports-car racing, have an in-depth look at the production of the iconic film "Le Mans," while enjoying gourmet dining, superior accommodations and fun in the sun.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for sports-car racing fans and automotive aficionados to enjoy several days of fine dining and fun banter among a group of the sport's finest race car drivers," said Redman. "To be able to collect this outstanding group of iconic drivers in one place to share their off-the-cuff racing 'war' stories in a fabulous setting over gourmet meals at a world-class resort was a feat in itself. It may never happen again, so I encourage anyone who has followed our exploits to join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"I had the privilege recently of being hosted by Steve Austin on a trip to Southern France and Italy, and I was happily surprised at the quality of every aspect of the adventure and what a great experience it was," added Redman. "I can guarantee anyone who joins us that he/she will be talking about it for years to come."

The cost is $3,450 per couple, $3,200 single, and a deposit by Sept. 10, 2010, will earn a $500 discount. The first 25 reservations will receive an automatic room upgrade. There is a $750 booking deposit, with the balance due Nov. 1, 2010.

There are a limited number of spaces left in the first 25 reservations. For more information and to sign up for the Gathering of Legends Racers Symposium, go to www.GoRace.com or www.SteveAustinsGreatVacations.com .
