Ipswich Lady Realises Sportscar Dream By Winning TVR

MELKSHAM, UNITED KINGDOM – Aug 16, 2010: Ipswich resident, Stacey Biltcliffe, always vowed she’d own a classic British sportscar by the age of 50.

But, at 49, it seemed that her hopes of making that dream come true were all but dashed.

However, good fortune has come to her rescue in the nick of time – just weeks before her 50th birthday, she has won a pristine TVR Tamora in a competition run by Avon Tyres, substituting her Ford Fiesta.

Mrs Biltcliffe collected the keys to the 330bhp, 3.6-litre TVR at the latest round of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, at Silverstone, on Sunday (Aug 15).

She commented, “I’d always said to the family that I’d treat myself to a sportscar when the kids are older and that’s exactly what has happened, but not in the way I thought it might.

“I first found out I’d won while in the passenger seat of a colleague’s car – I was glad I wasn’t driving, as I nearly leapt from my seat.”

Mrs Biltcliffe won the powerful sportscar after qualifying for the draw by buying a set of four Avon Tyres from National Tyres in Ipswich. Ten runners-up in the promotion each received a TomTom XL IQ sat nav system.
