Readers of Sport Auto Vote Three Times 1st Place for MTM

WETTSTETTEN, GERMANY – July 2, 2010: Over 10.000 readers took part at the Readers’ Choice Award of the famous German automobile magazine sport auto and set MTM models in three of ten categories on first place. That is the reason why the manufacturer from Wettstetten is obviously the winner among the tuners of this year‘s readers choice award. In the course of the award middle of June in Stuttgart company boss and MTM founder Roland Mayer was thankful for the unexpected vote and present to the 20th MTM anniversary which MTM is celebrating this year. The MTM S4 Superchared (in the category limousines up to 80.000 €), the MTM RS6 R (limousines over 80.000 €) and the MTM KTM X-Bow (cabriolets up to 80.000 €) received first places.

This vote is the highlight in a series of excellent results, best values and awards. This year in March MTM was elected by the readers of auto motor und sport under the Top Ten in the "Tuner" category. At the end of las t year about 51.000 readers of Auto Bild Sportscars elected MTM S4 Supercharged as Sportscar of 2009 in the category "Tuning combis".

Such a positive feedback is also based on records which MTM is regularly achieving with its cars. Only this May the MTM KTM X-Bow achieved the fastest lap time of all participants at the sport auto Tuner GP on the small track in Hockenheim and won the Tuner GP with an amazing laptime of 1.06,70 min. And the MTM RS6 R - 1st place at the Readers choice award - is still on the top of the fastest station wagons: 344,2 km/h were measured at the high speed track in Nardo last autumn.

All of these winners of the Readers’ Choice Award are real sportscars with significantly more power compared to the series models which also gained in driving dynamics according to specialized journalists. The MTM S4 Supercharged actually has 430 hp (in series 333 hp) and the MTM RS6-R reaches over 740 hp with 860 Nm. The acceleration of t he RS6 R is 3.6 sec from 1-100 and 11.0 sec up to 200 km/h.
