VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – May 7, 2010: A new flameless heat gun, the Narva Micro-Therm, provides the professional touch with heatshrink on terminals and connector applications in workshops, household and hobby applications.

Ergonomically designed for easy trigger action, it is fitted with a special safety locking system to avoid accidental activation. Comfortable in the hand, the new flameless heat gun reaches a maximum temperature of 650º C releasing the internal adhesive in the heatshrink to securely bond both the terminal and cable. The combination of terminal crimping, heatshrink sleeve plus the adhesive creates a level of strain relief not achievable with standard terminal types. The application of the gun shrinks the terminal insulation firmly around the cable releasing strain on the connection and creating a weatherproof and dustproof seal.

The new Narva flameless gun comes with a heat shield and refillable cigarette lighter which can be refilled using butane filler gas or replaced with a standard cigarette lighter. It provides up to 20 minutes overall use before refilling is required.

The Narva Butane Gas Heating Tool Part No. 56392BL, is ideal for use on Narva’s extensive range of heatshrink tubing and is available from leading automotive outlets throughout Australia.
