CANBERRA – April 22, 2010: Mahindra Automotive Australia (MAA) has launched an exciting new competition across all national dealers. Dubbed ‘Rate & Win’, the contest could see up to 100 entrants driving away in a free Mahindra Pik-Up utility vehicle.

Claire Tynan, CEO, Mahindra Automotive Australia says, “When discussing ute options with their local dealer we wanted to give consumers a chance to understand and experience the Pik-Up’s features and benefits in a fun and interactive way. If they rate the 10 selected features in the same order as our motoring experts, they could drive away with a brand new car for free. Quite simple really! Our dealers love the promotion, and consumers would be mad not to experience the Pik-Up first hand and add it to their shopping list!”

The competition will run from April 23rd to June 30th, 2010. To enter, one must visit a Mahindra dealership and test-drive a Pik-Up, and then they must ‘rate’ the features to be in the running to win a Mahindra Pik-Up. A form, as the one below, which lists 10 of the vehicles features including Dual front airbags, ABS braking system, Air-conditioning, Over 1 tonne payload, Limited slip differential (LSD), On-the-fly 4WD, Power steering / windows / outer-mirrors, 210mm ground clearance, 2-Din audio Stereo + SD/USB/MP3/CD player with tuner, and Follow-me-home headlights, must be ranked in order of how the customer deems the most to least important (1 to 10).

The dealer will then submit the entry on line to the official adjudicator. If this matches the master list at the end of promotional period, which was composed by a number of motoring experts including Joel Helmes, motoring expert and broadcaster on Brisbane’s 4BC, and Malcolm McCosker, Motoring Editor of Queensland Country Life amongst others, the winner/s will be notified and they will drive away with their free Mahindra Pik-Up. Runner up prizes will also be won by those who come close to ranking it like the masters.

Tynan says, “Once a customer experiences a test-drive in a Pik-Up and realises the value-laden offer available to them at Mahindra, we find a whole new pool of work-horse ute devotees who have been looking for creature comforts in a vehicle that can also do the tough jobs they need a ute to do. So in adding a WIN element to the test-drive experience we can ensure the benefits of a Pik-Up are underlined with an element of excitement.”

The competition will be supported by a new TVC campaign, online and print advertising.
