SYDNEY – April 15, 2010: Hyundai Motor Company is crowning its outstanding sales growth around the world with more quality awards – the latest from the UK where the i30 has taken first place in the Driver Power Top 100 survey, conducted by the UK’s Auto Express magazine.

Completed by over 23,000 drivers, the Driver Power survey is compiled by Auto Express, the UK’s best-selling weekly motoring magazine, and is considered to be Britain’s definitive poll on car reliability and customer satisfaction.

The i30 shot straight to the number one slot in the Driver Power Top 100 to be named the most satisfying car to own on the market today, beating all other brands including prestige marques and the 2009 winner, the Jaguar XF.

Auto Express editor-in-chief David Johns said “Congratulations to Hyundai. This is a huge breakthrough for the brand. Over the years, owners have told us how reliable their cars are and what good value they are too. But this is the final proof that they can now match that with real all-round satisfaction.”

“The i30 is going from strength to strength, topping its segment in sales last month, and it’s no accident.” said Oliver Mann, Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s Marketing Director. “This is yet another endorsement of the outstanding quality, efficiency and value being delivered by latest generation Hyundai product.” he concluded.

It’s not just Auto Express readers who think the i30 is satisfying to own – readers of the UK’s Which? consumer guide also reported it to be the most reliable medium-sized car in a poll published late in 2009.

Closer to home, Australia’s seven State and Territory based motoring clubs named the Hyundai i30 SX CRDi turbo diesel Australia’s ‘Best Mid-size Car Under $30,000’, with the Hyundai i30cw wagon CRDi also named ECO Car magazine’s 2009 ‘ECO Car of the Year’.

The multi-award winning i30 was Australia’s best selling small car in March 2010, selling 3,678 vehicles and gaining a 16.4% market share of its segment.
