SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – March 11, 2010: Two new vans – one of them the newly-launched Doblo Cargo – will be highlights of the Fiat Professional stand at this year’s Food & Drink Logistics Show 2010.

The Doblo Cargo goes on sale in the UK this month (March) and looks certain to be an interesting new prospect for the thousands of visitors expected at the show, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on 21-24 March.

Doblo’s engine line-up of a 1.4-litre 16v 95bhp petrol unit and three MultiJet 16v diesels – 1.3 (90bhp), 1.6 (105bhp), and 2.0 (135bhp), should appeal to smaller food and drink transport companies. And standard equipment across the entire range that includes ABS anti-lock brakes, height adjustable steering wheel, power steering, electric front windows, and central door locking, additionally make it a worthy consideration. Prices start at £11,195 (basic) for the Doblo Cargo 1.4 16v.

Doblo is joined at the show by a Fiorino van as Fiat Professional, the commercial vehicle arm of Fiat Group Automobiles UK, looks to attract further interest in its award-winning range of work vehicles.

The Fiorino, which was Van of the Year 2009, is powered by a choice of engines – 73bhp 1.4 petrol and 75bhp 1.3 MultiJet turbodiesel – and provides safe, comfortable and economical motoring. The range starts at £9,085 (basic) for the Fiorino Cargo 1.4 8v 75.

“This is a new show to the calendar, but one which we feel is important to us,” says Gerry Clarke, director, Fiat Professional. “The food and drink logistics industry is a huge market and we are confident we can offer vehicles that are perfectly suited to this kind of work.”
