SYDNEY – March 8, 2010: Tyre manufacturer Kumho has come up with an easy and economical way to protect motorist's investment in premium high performance tyres introducing the Kumho "No Worries" Road Hazard warranty for a small per tyre premium.

Purchasers of any of the tyres in the Kumho Ultra High Performance range pay just $3.95 per tyre to guard against tyre damage due to potholes, gutters and foreign objects on the road.

The Road Hazard warranty means that tyres damaged and unable to be repaired in on road use will be replaced free of charge with the same or an equivalent tyre.

According to Kumho Tyres' David Basha the No Worries Road Hazard Warranty is a way for motorists to protect their investment in the most vulnerable and expensive performance tyres.

"Our roads are increasingly hostile environments for low profile high performance tyres which are increasingly popular on a wider range of vehicles from passenger cars to utes and SUVs," said David Basha.

"Potholes, gutters, and debris seem to be more prevalent and can often catch out the most careful and attentive drivers," he said.

"An investment of around $16 on a new set of ultra high performance tyres could save motorists up to $1600 should all four tyres be damaged, and that can and does happen," added David Basha.

"Kumho sees this as a customer car initiative and our key dealers have embraced the concept as a way of adding value to our Ultra High Performance range," he said.

The No Worries Road Hazard Warranty applies to the original purchaser of tyres from the Kumho Ultra High Performance range and for tyres that are greater than 15 inches and of 55 series and lower.

The warranty covers the first 25 percent of the usable tread life or for the first 12 months from date of purchase and only applies to damage caused on tarmac roads.

It is available from all Kumho authorised tyre dealers around Australia where customers can check the warranty terms and conditions or go to http://www.kumho.com.au/Promotions/kumho_warranty_dl.pdf for full details.

Kumho produces more than 65 million tyres annually from its key manufacturing plants in Korea.
