Private Sale Of Vintage Ferraris Confirmed

There are Ferrari sales and then there are Ferrari sales! Rumors have been pervasive in the rarified air of exotic car collecting about a sale of some of the most important vintage and collectable Ferraris in the world.

This deal was been confirmed. The Ferrari’s came from the world famous collection Kroymans – the Ferrari distributor in Holland now in bankruptcy and have been sold in a private transaction. Kroymans, filed for bankruptcy to the tune of $3 billion.

The deal was brokered by Thomas Hamann, chairman of the New York City Concours d’Elegance and owner of Hamann Classic Cars a specialist brokerage in rare and exotic vehicles who worked with European banks and a well known private collector. Hamann noted, "We are thrilled to be a part of the salvation of this very important collection of Vintage Ferraris”

While the dollar amount of transaction was not revealed but a search of reliable price ranges of vintage Ferrari’s, such as Hagerty’s Cars That Matter, indicated a sale of several millions of Euros. A partial list of Ferrari’s includes:

• 365 GT4/BB
• 512 BB550 Barchetta
• Enzo 2002 Formula 1 Winner of US Grand Prix
