PARIS – February 24, 2010: Players at this year’s ANZ Ladies Masters will have an extra incentive in addition to the $600,000AUD prize money on offer.

Peugeot will present a brand new 308 CC to the first lady that scores a hole-in-one on the 11th hole in the final two rounds of the tournament, which runs through March 4-7 at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.

The 308 CC is Peugeot’s newest Coupé Cabriolet – a style of vehicle that Peugeot invented way back in 1934.

Peugeot has refined this technology to the point where the new model’s steel roof opens or closes in just 20 seconds.

The stunning vehicle on offer is the 308 CC S, featuring a sporty 1.6-litre turbo engine with automatic transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, directional Xenon headlights and a luxurious leather interior.

While any golfer that can manage an ace on the 137m Par 3 will be cocooned in head-turning style, she will also have access to a number of notable features and technologies.

The 308 CC includes a side head airbag deployed from within the seat’s headrest is the first ever installed in a production car – a feature that helps the 308 CC achieve the maximum five-star NCAP safety rating.

The Airwave system built into the front seats emits warm air around the neck and shoulders of the occupant, making open-top motoring an option even in the colder months.

ANZ Ladies Masters chairman / managing director Bob Tuohy says the inclusion of a hole-in-one prize is always popular with the players.

“Not only do the players love it for obvious reasons, but it adds another element of excitement and interest for the spectators and television viewers,” he said.

“Peugeot and the ANZ Ladies Masters have had a fantastic relationship over the last four years, and we are thrilled that they have offered such a beautiful car as a hole-in-one prize.

“I think the ladies might be doing some extra practice on the 11th in the week leading up to the event!”

Among the players vying for the chance to drive home in the 308 CC will be world golf superstars Karrie Webb and Laura Davies – chasing their seventh and fourth ANZ Ladies Masters titles respectively.

Queensland LPGA star Katherine Hull returns to defend her title, while world top ten players Suzann Pettersen, Yani Tseng and Anna Nordqvist will all be pushing for their maiden titles on the Gold Coast.

The 308 CC S turbo automatic up for grabs has a Recommended Vehicle Price of $56,490, plus on-road costs and metallic, pearl or premium paint.
