Nissan Announces New Assignments In Americas Region and Global Headquarters

YOKOHAMA, Japan and FRANKLIN, Tenn., Feb. 5, 2010 -- Today, Nissan announced leadership changes within the Nissan Americas region and within teams based at Nissan Global Headquarters. The following changes are effective April 1.

  --  Takashi Sakagami, General Manager, Corporate Planning for Nissan Motor
      Co., Ltd. (NML), has been named General Manager, New Zero-Emission
      Businesses, which is based at Nissan Global Headquarters in Yokohama. 
      He will report to Hide Watanabe, general manager, ZEBU. Since joining
      Nissan in 1986, Sakagami has held positions in Overseas Marketing and
      Sales, and was promoted to his current position in 2009.

  --  Sakagami is succeeded by Thomas Besson, President, Nissan Brazil.  As
      General Manager, Corporate Planning for NML, Besson will be based in
      Yokohama and will report to Colin Dodge, Chief Recovery Officer, and
      Executive Vice President, Corporate Planning, Control and G&A
      Breakthrough.  Besson joined Nissan in 2003 as Project Manager in the
      Organization Development department and was promoted to his current
      role in 2006.

  --  Christian Meunier, Vice President, Nissan Marketing for Nissan North
      America (NNA), will transfer to Nissan Brazil at Curitiba to succeed
      Besson as President.  He will report to Carlos Tavares, Chairman of
      Management Committee-Americas, and Executive Vice-President, NML. 
      Prior to joining Nissan in 2002, Meunier worked in a variety of
      management roles within the industry, including assignments in the
      United States and Europe.  Meunier's successor will be announced
      later.  In the interim, Brian Carolin, senior vice president, Sales &
      Marketing, NNA, will directly oversee the marketing function for
      Nissan.
