SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – December 14, 2009: Successful car retailer West End Garage has acquired the Manor Oak Honda dealership in Perth. It will now trade as Perth Honda.

West End Garage brings a vast amount of experience to the business. It has operated a dealership in Broughty Ferry, near Dundee, for 37 years, 25 of which have been as a Honda franchise.

Commenting on the acquisition, James Ewart, director of Perth Honda, said it was an exciting time for everyone involved. “Our aim is to build the dealership up to make it as successful as Broughty Ferry. Our short-to-medium term plans include increasing the number of ‘Approved Used’ Honda cars that are available to customers, and developing the aftersales side.”

All 18 members of staff have transferred to the new business and two extra roles have been created. One is for the Dealer Principal, Lyall Reekie, who brings 27 years of motor trade experience to the garage, 10 of it with Honda.

The other new senior member of the team is Ian Johnston, a former accountant who will be Finance Director.

James Ewart added: “With Lyall’s experience and enthusiasm for the brand, Perth Honda is in good hands. We’re looking forward to better serving the loyal Honda owners in the local area and – with Honda’s excellent range of fuel-efficient new cars – finding new customers.”
