MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – December 7, 2009: BMW Group Australia took the opportunity last week to support the 2009 NAB Business Banking inaugural charity golf day, working for the Ardoch Youth Foundation.

Melbourne-based organisation, the Ardoch Youth Foundation, is recognised for their development of proactive responses to national youth issues including education and socio-economic disadvantage.

The 2009 NAB Business Banking charity golf day was held at the prestigious Huntingdale golf course and also included a charity auction.

Elements of BMW Group Australia’s support included the auction prize of a BMW 7 Series loan, the opportunity for players take home their very own BMW 650i Sport Coupe for a hole-in-one and giveaways from the BMW Golfsport range.

David Hayes, a leading race horse trainer and BMW Ambassador, also offered a lending hand. Auctioning the prize of a private morning at his Flemington stable for five people, David presented the opportunity for winners to observe a training session, an exclusive tour of the stables and breakfast with him.

Funds raised from the day peaked around $160,000 and will be provided to Ardoch to support their 2010 programmes in making education a reality for children including, breakfast clubs, mentoring, and excursions.

“BMW Group Australia is delighted to be part of such a fantastic event and to support the youth of Australia,” said BMW managing director Stavros Yallouridis.

“As a company we not only strive to provide our customers, and the wider community, with the very best in automotive products and services but we also pride ourselves on corporate and social responsibility,” says Yallouridis.
