NEWMARKET, N.H., Nov. 24, 2009 -- Proulx Oil & Propane (Newmarket, NH) has joined national alternative fuel vehicle conversion and fueling network Alliance AutoGas. As an Alliance AutoGas partner, Proulx Oil & Propane will work with New Hampshire's public and private vehicle fleets to convert vehicles from conventional gasoline to propane AutoGas - a cleaner, less expensive and almost entirely domestic alternative vehicle fuel. Propane AutoGas is the most widely used alternative vehicle fuel in the world.

Alliance AutoGas (Asheville, NC) provides America's fleets with a truly turn-key alternative fuel solution that includes:

-- Propane vehicle conversion equipment and labor
-- Fueling station on-site at fleet base
-- Safety and operational training for fleet personnel
  -- Year-round fuel provision
  -- Ongoing technical support

Proulx Oil & Propane, originally established in 1944, currently provides residential, commercial and industrial propane and gas-related products to customers across New Hampshire, Maine and northeastern Massachusetts

"At Proulx, we've always focused on finding and implementing the most cutting-edge energy solutions, with the greatest emphasis always centered on return on investment for our customers," says Jim Proulx, president of Proulx Oil & Propane. "That's why we joined Alliance AutoGas, so we can reach out to New Hampshire's fleets with the most viable solution to cut their fuel costs and emissions simultaneously, all while using a fuel that's 90% produced in the U.S."

Proulx Oil & Propane will work with Alliance AutoGas to provide an integrated chain of vehicle conversions, clean fueling stations at fleet home bases, year-round fuel supply and safety & technical support.

Ideal candidates for propane vehicle conversion include taxis, law enforcement and municipal vehicles, limousines, utility company vehicles and many others.

Fleets that convert to propane AutoGas can expect:

  -- Lower fuel costs
-- Significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions
-- Less dependence on foreign oil (90% of propane is produced in the
      U.S.)
-- Ability to integrate positive green messaging into their
      communications

Proulx Oil & Propane and Alliance AutoGas will immediately begin discussions with New Hampshire's vehicle fleets interested in converting vehicles to propane AutoGas.
