TULLAMARINE AUSTRALIA – November 16, 2009: The Swindon built Honda Civic hatch has been named the most reliable fleet car in the United Kingdom.

Fleet News UK, the country’s leading newspaper for the company car industry, conducted the country’s biggest ever reliability survey, which resulted in Honda also claiming three of the top five most reliable cars in the UK, with the Jazz and Accord models listed in third and fourth place respectively.

The survey covered the UK’s 50 largest fleet companies and asked them to rate their most reliable vehicles and manufacturers among their combined fleet of more than one million vehicles.

“This survey is the largest of its kind in the country and is based on feedback from those who really know about the reliability of vehicles – people who run hundreds of thousands of vehicles over many hundreds of thousands of miles," said Fleet News Editor Stephen Briers.

The Civic is Honda’s best selling global model, with over 19 million units sold or almost one third of all Honda sales worldwide. Over 350,000 Civics have been sold in Australia since the car was first introduced in 1973.
