THISTED, Denmark - November 9, 2009: The Jeppesens is a modern Danish consumer family who is saving almost 20 tons of C02 per year by having their own private windturbine. They have bought their own windturbine and produce all their electricity carbon dioxide free. When conditions are there, their windturbine can produce enough electricity for seven other households, and the surplus can also be sold on the market. The future plan is to change one of their cars to an electric car that can be charged by the windturbine during the night and drive carbon dioxide free during the day. The Jeppesens live in Thisted Municipality which is almost self-sufficient with renewable energy.
