Lakeville, November 6, 2009: Skip Barber Racing School, LLC today announced the formation of a unified 2009-2010 Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge Winter Tour, replacing the separate southern and western regional schedules.

“As we continue to develop and grow the Skip Barber MAZDSPEED Challenge concept, we are learning key ways that it differs from the open-wheel Skip Barber Race Series,” said Todd Snyder, VP of Competition at Skip Barber Racing School. “Based on feedback from our customers, a single winter championship that visits many tracks is more compelling than two smaller championships on opposite ends of the country.”

2009-2010 Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge Winter Tour schedule October 24-25 Carolina Motorsports Park* November 13-14 Road Atlanta January 23-24 Homestead-Miami Speedway February 13-14 Sebring International Raceway March 13-14 Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca April 9-10 Sebring International Raceway

* Points earned by drivers who participated in race weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on October 31-November 1 will be transferred to the already completed Carolina Motorsports Park race weekend.

Since its beginning during the 2007 season, the Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge has become the largest “arrive and drive” sports car racing series in North America. The series has proven popular with not only Skip Barber Racing School graduates and Race Series drivers, but also with SCCA competitors looking to learn a new track or improve their lap times without having to worry about prepping their cars. The 2009-2010 Skip Barber MAZDASPEED Challenge Winter Tour continues at Road Atlanta the weekend of November 13-14. A limited number of seats are available for this event. For more information or to reserve your spot in the weekend please contact Skip Barber Racing School at 800.221.1131 or visit www.skipbarber.com.
