SYDNEY – November 3, 2009: Wheels Magazine has awarded it's 2009 Gold Star Cars Award to the Jaguar XF 3.0L Petrol model for the Premium Mid/Large between $100 -$150K category. The Jaguar XF came out in front of the Lexus GS450H and Mercedes Benz E350 Avant-garde to take the top position in the category.

Factors that are taken into account in determining the best value cars include: warranty, servicing, fuel costs, purchase price, retained value (re-sale), safety, driveability and insurance.

"The Jaguar XF's success in the Wheels awards is recognition that Jaguar not only makes the most desirable cars, but now, the best value as well" commented Chris Lidis, Jaguar Australia General Manager.

"Stand out design, stunning performance and superb dependability – This is the New Jaguar!"

concluded Lidis.

To highlight the success and market acceptance of the Jaguar XF in the Australian market, sales for the model are up by 9.1% YTD over 2008 ( September 2009 VFACTS).

The Wheels Gold Star Cars were published in the November issue of the Wheels magazine
