Honda Celebrates with Two Limited Edition Models

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – October 2, 2009: To celebrate its 40th anniversary in Australia, Honda has created two limited edition models. The 40th Anniversary Civic LE and the 40th Anniversary Accord LE.

Based on the 1.8 litre Civic VTi, the 40th Anniversary Limited Edition model receives approximately $2,000 worth of additional equipment including 15” alloy wheels, fog lamps, rear parking sensors, tailored floor mats, chrome exhaust finisher and special 40th anniversary badging.

The eighth-generation Honda Civic, introduced in 2006 delivers economical motoring, achieving a combined 6.9 litres/100km and equally low emissions of just 164g/km, (with man.trans.) from its 4-cylinder 103 kilowatt i-VTEC engine.

A two-time winner of Australia’s Best Car Awards, the 40th anniversary Civic is available with both a 5-speed manual or optional 5-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control.

The Civic has Vehicle Stability Assist as standard on all Civic models, the Advanced Compatibility Engineering bodyshell, ABS brakes and dual front and side airbags.

The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Civic prices start at $24,990 drive-away (flat paint, manual transmission) with only 800 available.

Accord LE

The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Accord’s 133 kilowatt, 2.4 litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine is the most powerful 4-cylinder engine in the large car class, and sips 8.8 litres/100km, (combined cycle) and emits just 209g/km.

The Accord LE has a 5-speed auto transmission with grade logic control and steering wheel mounted paddle shifts.

Effortless motoring is the Accord’s signature, with a contemporary exterior design and luxurious spacious interior that can comfortably accommodate five adults.

The 40th anniversary Accord LE gains the following additional equipment; fog lamps, deluxe tailored floor mats, reversing sensors and Bluetooth representing an additional $1,300 in value.
