I.D. Systems and Pendulum Services Offer Vehicle Asset Management to U.S. Military

CHARLESTOWN, Ind.--Pendulum Services LLC (http://www.pendulumsite.com) announced today that it has signed a Teaming Agreement with I.D. Systems, Inc. to supply I.D. Systems’ PowerFleet® and AVRamp® Vehicle Management Systems to the U.S. military and other U.S. Government customers. Under the terms of the agreement, Pendulum is an authorized partner of I.D. Systems, providing the wireless technology provider’s comprehensive industrial fleet management solutions as sales or services.

PowerFleet® technology was recently demonstrated successfully at Sierra Army Depot under a project termed the Centralized Fleet Automated Management System (CFAMS). The demonstration showed that CFAMS could significantly decrease vehicle maintenance costs by introducing improved process controls, reduce fleet size (and related capital and operating costs) by optimizing vehicle productivity, and improve safety and reduce vehicle damage by establishing a higher level of vehicle accountability.

Additional applications of I.D. Systems’ wireless vehicle management technology include airports, where geo-fencing can eliminate runway incursions by service vehicles and provide real time vehicle location tracking and dispatching.
