Suzuki Grand Vitara Diesel 5-Door Completes the Range

MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – September 7, 2009: Suzuki GB is pleased to announce the introduction of the 1.9 DDiS engine to the Grand Vitara SZ 5-door range completing the revised model line-up. Two specification levels are available: SZ4 and SZ5 grades, both including; 18-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, in-dash 6CD changer with radio, MP3 audio-compatibility and seven speakers, heated leather seats and automatic climate control air conditioning.

Suzuki’s Research and Development teams have conducted extensive testing to further reduce engine and drive train noise and have implemented new sound insulation measures ensuring that overall noise has been reduced in the vehicle at all speeds. CO2 emissions are reduced to 185g/km from 191g/km and the new model achieves 40.4mpg on the combined cycle.

Suzuki Grand Vitara is the world’s original compact SUV and has been on sale in the UK since 1988. More than 2.6 million Suzuki Vitara’s and Grand Vitara’s have been sold worldwide, with over 164,000 sales in the UK since the model was launched 21 years ago.

The latest Grand Vitara DDiS 5-door is on sale now available at £17,975 OTR for the SZ4 and £19,475 OTR for the SZ5 trim. The new Grand Vitara is eligible for the government scrappage scheme which provides a £2,000 discount when trading in a 10 year old car or LCV. Three years zero per cent finance is also available on the Grand Vitara until 30 September 2009 with a 40 per cent deposit.
