CHICHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM – September 3, 2009: A long time member of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club has praised Auto Windscreens Chelmsford Fitting Centre.

He said: “The technicians at Chelmsford provide an exemplary, courteous and patient service. Their swift, careful and competent skills have been much appreciated in dealing with encounters I have had with high speed stones.”

As a result of word-of-mouth, Auto Windscreens’ Chelmsford automotive glazing technicians are in demand by Rolls-Royce owners throughout the region.

Neville Wiffen, a technician at Auto Windscreens’ Chelmsford fitting centre said:

“I have been here for 14 years and in that time been privileged to replace glass in a number of these prestige cars, including a 1933 Park Ward 20/25, a 1960 Silver Cloud II, a 1971 Silver Shadow and a 1981 Fixed Head Corniche, to name but a few, I appreciate that they are their owners’ pride and joy and treat them as if they were my own whenever I am working on them.”

The 1971 Silver Shadow has special significance as it was actually one of the last to be made by the privately owned Rolls-Royce. In 1971 the company suffered crippling losses following technical problems with the RB211 jet aircraft engine and the company was nationalised. The automobile company was separated in 1973 and the present Rolls-Royce was re-privatised in 1987. Today, BMW AG owns the right to use the Rolls-Royce marque.
