Acura Announces August Sales Results

TSX Sports Sedan Posts Sales Increase

TORRANCE, CA - September 1, 2009: The sporty yet efficient Acura TSX sports sedan, including an all-new V-6 powered model, posted monthly sales of 2,925 units, up 7.1 percent compared to last August, Acura announced today. Total monthly sales for Acura reached 9,625 units, down 33.8 percent* versus last August, while year-to-date sales were 69,369, off 33.8 percent** based on the Daily Selling Rate.

"The combination of nimble performance, sporty handing and outstanding fuel economy make the TSX a smart choice for luxury customers," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "And with the recent addition of a V-6 to the lineup, the TSX is more appealing then ever before."

The TL performance luxury sedan was the best selling Acura model for the month of August, with 3,003 vehicles sold. Acura light truck sales were again led by the MDX luxury SUV with 2,820 units sold while the turbocharged RDX crossover SUV sold 728 units.
