MAPLE CROSS, UNITED KINGDOM – August 7, 2009: Nissan has today announced a partnership with Sky Motoring to create a bespoke microsite showcasing the Qashqai+2’s search for Britain’s Coolest Dad. With a top prize that will see the winning father taking his family on an adventure around Barcelona in a British built Qashqai+2, the competition will be launched on Monday 10 August 2009.

The dedicated microsite, to be found at www.sky.com/motoring, will host three specially created short video clips, featuring a selection of ‘Dads’ prompting users to take part and nominate Britain’s Coolest Dad.

Visitors to the site will be able to upload images and nominations for the title, then vote on entries received on the site. The winner will then be filmed alongside their family and footage will be shown on the site during the last week of the campaign. Meanwhile, the campaign will be supported by dedicated advertisements to run on Sky Motoring, across the Sky Network and third party partner, Netmums, from 10 August.

As the perfect partner for any family wanting to make the most of its spare time, the Qashqai+2 offers a great view out from all seven of its seats as well as providing quality, value and style. Available from only £15,600, the Qashqai+2 is built alongside the five-seat Qashqai at Nissan’s Sunderland plant.

Nissan’s UK MD, Paul Willcox comments: “For many families the Qashqai+2 is the perfect tool. We’re delighted to be able to work with Sky in promoting such a great competition and look forward to seeking out the country’s super-Dads!”

As well as offering the use of a Qashqai+2 for the duration of the four-day trip, the Britain’s Coolest Dad prize includes flights and accommodation at the Grandom Suites in the heart of Barcelona as well as entry to top local attractions. Terms and conditions apply.
