SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – August 5, 2009: The C3 Picasso has been named ‘Supermini MPV of the Year’ at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2009. Embodying the best of Citroën’s ‘Créative Technologie’, the innovative ‘Spacebox’ impressed the prestigious magazine’s judging panel with its funky design, all-round practicality, intelligent layout and class-leading space and roominess.

This latest accolade means the C3 Picasso has now picked up an impressive four awards, having already been named Top Gear’s ‘Family Car of the Year’, ‘Best MPV’ at What Diesel’s Car of the Year Awards and ‘Design of the Year’ at the Fleet World Honours.

David Johns, Editor at Auto Express said; ‘The key to the C3 Picasso’s appeal lies on the inside, where its interior is big and clever enough to shame cars from the class above. The firm’s designers have taken the knowledge learned developing the Xsara Picasso and C4 Picasso models, and has now applied them to a smaller package.’

Citroën UK Managing Director, Gary Savage, commented; ‘With yet another award under its belt, the C3 Picasso is winning the hearts and minds of both public and press. Practically unbeaten in group tests and quickly establishing itself as the most desirable model in its class, the C3 Picasso has become the one to watch in this competitive segment.’
