Towergate Bakers a leading UK caravan insurance provider, and Datatag, Europes leading asset marking company, have announced a new initiative to improve the security of all caravan owners in the UK.

Following the launch of Datatag's new security system for caravans, the only "Thatcham Approved" security solution in the market, Towergate have agreed to supply the system as part of their Select and Economy insurance polices on caravans worth in excess of £10000.

Datatag consists of a range of
* Electronic transponders
* Datadots, enabling you to mark all valuable items
* DatatagDNA a unique forensic chemical DNA etching solutions
* Visible ID labels that contain unique identification numbers

Datatag have been providing asset protection within the Motorcycle, Watercraft and Construction industry for years, working closely with Police Authorities to reduce crime, increase conviction rates which have, in turn, led to a decrease in thefts where Datatag is used.

Paul Havenhand, Marketing Director at Towergate Bakers added "This is a great piece of kit. To enable our clients to get complementary security devices which have real tangible benefits is a first in our market. Organised criminals know the impact of Datatag and avoid stealing assets which are clearly marked. This is great news for insurers, and customers as we genuinely believe that this initiative will reduce the number of stolen caravans, leading to lower premiums overall".

We are running this campaign during August 2009 and hope to extend it beyond. The campaign to raise awareness of this security device will run on advertising at UK service stations and on the www.towergatebakers.co.uk website during August.
