CCC Convenes Initial Meeting of Repair Advisory Panel

CHICAGO, July 28 -- CCC Information Services Inc. today announced it held the initial meeting of its new Repair Advisory Panel. The inter-industry group is comprised of collision repairers, insurers, automotive OEMs, paint companies, I-CAR and MOTOR . Formalized in April, the group reviews and discusses potential modifications or enhancements to CCC's estimating products to provide the Company with direct input into how new or revised solutions may impact the various participants.

"I think it was a good first meeting," said Matt O'Neill of 911 Collision Centers. "There are so many things in our industry that continue to change, it's imperative that we have open dialogue and continue to help each other with these transitions."

The panel - chaired by CCC Vice President of Product Management Jack Rozint - talked about several potential modifications to CCC's collision estimating software and new product concept discussions. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Repair Advisory Panel's input resulted in the first product recommendation: to deliver additional information on the printed estimate to indicate how the bumper prompt was answered by the estimator.

"The Repair Panel provides an interactive forum to exchange views on relevant topics and provide guidance to CCC and MOTOR," said Debbie Day, CCC's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. "The panel discusses the issues and provides input toward the goal of producing comprehensive estimates to achieve a quality repair consistent with the MOTOR Guide to Estimating. We look forward to our next meeting in Las Vegas during NACE."
