Shanghai, July 8 (Gasgoo.com) BYD Auto sold 176,795 vehicles in the first
half of this year, a rapid increase of 176% from a year earlier, reported
Shanghai Securities News, citing the carmaker's latest statistics.

The business newspaper said BYD Auto has also revealed its sales volume of
June, in which its electric plug-in hybrid F3DM sold 19 units.

BYD Auto is pushing ahead with the commercialization of its electric
vehicles. The 300,000-yuan ($43,900) E6 model is awaiting regulatory
approval for going on sale by the end of this year, and meanwhile the F3DM,
now on its national promotional tour, will sell to individual customers
starting September.

The DM (dual-mode) vehicle models of BYD Auto have been approved by the
government for mass production and will be sold first in 13 major cities
across China. Currently, BYD's auto investment is mainly in mainland China
and its annual production capacity has reached 800,000 cars.

In the second half this year, BYD will launch five all-new models, which are
the S8, G3, L3, S6 and M6.
