COLESHILL, UNITED KINGDOM – July 3, 2009: Subaru (UK) Limited is the new official sponsor of the bustling Georgian Market at this year’s Lichfield Festival on Saturday 11 July. Lichfield’s Cathedral Close will once again be packed with over 150 quality stalls, plus entertainments for the whole family, for this very popular free annual event.

Subaru will also be giving visitors the chance to win a world-renowned Subaru World Rally Team adult mountain bike as part of a prize draw competition which can be found in the Festival programme. Programmes will be on sale on the day for just £2.50.

Kenyon Neads, Marketing Director, Subaru (UK) Ltd. said: “We very much look forward to working in partnership with the Lichfield Festival. Subaru’s range of all-wheel drive vehicles has a great standing in the family market, with a reputation for reliable and durable vehicles.”

He added: “This sponsorship is a new development for us and fits in well with our strategy of widening our brand appeal in less traditional areas of marketing to reach our audience.”

Subaru will supply three of their widely-acclaimed Outback and Forester models, each featuring the pioneering new Boxer Diesel engine. The vehicles will be utilised to transport artists and equipment during the Festival. Synonymous with reliability, state-of-the-art technology and uncompromising safety, Subaru cars have always had a strong presence within the rural vehicle market, and this exciting new sponsorship perfectly illustrates how the latest generation of Subaru vehicles is also ideally suited to the more discerning urban driver.
