SkyBitz(R) Protects Assets Through Expanded Portfolio of Tank and Tire Pressure Sensors

STERLING, Va. June 30 SkyBitz(R), the leading remote asset tracking and information management service provider, today announced the availability of Tank Activity and Tire Pressure sensors. The two new sensors, together with SkyBitz's comprehensive suite of intelligent sensors, provide superior remote monitoring and diagnostic capabilities of enterprise assets.

The SkyBitz Tank Activity Sensor provides valuable information about the content status of tank-based assets by indicating whether a valve has been opened to release gas, petroleum or chemicals. Serving chemical and oil and gas transportation services, the sensor affordably tracks and records events, and detects potential theft or unauthorized discharge of product.

The SkyBitz Tire Pressure Sensor provides quick, on-tire pressure identification. Mounted on the wheel end, the sensor continually monitors tire pressure to detect under inflated tires while reducing tire maintenance, fuel costs and accidents from improperly inflated tires. Tire pressures are visually displayed for the driver and delivered via satellite directly to the InSight user. Provided by BAT RF by STEMCO, the Tire Pressure Sensor works with STEMCO's mileage sensor. SkyBitz customers who already use the mileage sensor can expand capabilities to tires for an increasingly comprehensive solution.

"As the needs of our expanding clientele evolve, we continue to develop products and technologies that meet their requirements and extend our total solution," said Craig Malone, SVP, Product Development, for SkyBitz. "The Tank Activity and Tire Pressure Sensors enable customers to improve visibility, maintenance and efficiency of assets; provide event-based monitoring of cargos; and increase asset safety and security."

Information from both sensors is delivered to end-users via SkyBitz's InSight Asset Management Tool, a best-in-class software application for tracking, monitoring and managing a broad range of assets for multiple industries.
