Hella Receives High Award from Volkswagen Group

LIPPSTADT/WOLFSBURG - June 29 2009: The Volkswagen Group honored the lightening and electronics specialist Hella as one of its 18 worldwide best suppliers with the "Volkswagen Group Award 2009". With the award, which is presented annually to the top suppliers of the VW-Group, Europe?s leading automaker recognizes the overall entrepreneurial performance of its suppliers, which is reflected through constant reliability and sustainable partnership to the Volkswagen Group. Innovative strength, product quality and competent project management are, in this context, some of the crucial criteria that have to be met by the honored companies to a great extend. Hella has been awarded particularly for the exemplary development and production of the headlights and LED taillights for the new Golf 6 GTI.

Dr. Rolf Breidenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., received the award for Hella on June the 18th, 2009 in the "phaeno" Science Center in Wolfsburg from Dr. Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG with responsibility for 'Procurement.
