INGOLSTADT, GERMANY – June 23, 2009: The Art Directors Club (ADC) of Europe has awarded the Audi “Robbery’ TV commercial with its gold medal as the best commercial in 2008. At the awards ceremony in Barcelona, the intelligent humor of the promotional film created by kempertrautmann agency in Hamburg won over the 51-member jury made up of the leading creatives from 19 European countries.

“Our product portfolio is one of the strongest in the industry; our brand signifies progressiveness. A truly creative marketing communication, always out of the ordinary, is obligatory for us,” said Lothar Korn, Head of Marketing Communications at AUDI AG. “We’re delighted that this is being increasingly recognized and honored with so many awards. It gives our entire team a tremendous incentive to continue focusing on our work in the coming months and to continue systematically promoting the brand.”

Audi was honored repeatedly last April at the ADC Germany awards ceremony in Berlin. The brand with the four rings took home no less than 10 of the coveted awards, including honors in the print advertising and TV commercial categories.

The creative advertisements by the experts from Ingolstadt also won over the judges for the Clio Awards, the world’s most prestigious competition in the advertising industry, which were presented in the US state of Florida. Audi won first prize in the visual effects category for its “Filter” commercial, which vividly portrayed TDI clean diesel technology. The creatives behind Audi’s commercials were also honored for the “Urban Carver” and “Synchronized” spots.
