MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – June 22, 2009: SEAT UK is today reminding all of its 275,000 UK owners that their vehicles qualify for a free fluids and safety check at any of the Spanish brand’s 100-plus dealerships nationwide.

The free check, which takes just a few minutes to complete and does not need to be booked in advance, covers oil and coolant levels as well as brake fluid and washer bottle. SEAT’s expert technicians will advise owners of any levels that need attention and offer a chargeable top-up service where required.

The reminder comes on the back of a recent survey which suggested some SEAT owners may not check their car’s fluid levels as often as recommended.

SEAT UK Head of Aftersales, Nigel Griggs, explained: ‘While the recent survey sample was minute and the results therefore questionable – around 50 SEAT drivers were questioned from the 275,000-plus on UK roads – it is clearly still worth reminding SEAT owners that their vehicles automatically qualify for this free check, whether or not they choose to have their car serviced by a SEAT franchised dealer.

‘Any driver would obviously be well-advised to ensure his car is in tip-top condition, and SEAT’s free check is a simple, easy way to get that peace of mind.’
