Jaguar XF Voted Most Desirable Towing Vehicle

GAYDON, UNITED KINGDOM – June 18, 2009: The Jaguar XF has picked up the 'Money No Object' Award at the Towcar Awards 2009. Chosen by experts from Practical Caravan, What Car? and The Camping and Caravanning Club, the XF was hailed the most desirable towing vehicle among 39 competitors.

David Motton, Towcar Awards head judge, said: "If money was no object, this is the car we'd choose to do our towing with. The 3.0-litre Diesel S engine is superb, yet it's also savagely powerful when the occasion demands, pulling car and caravan from 30-60mph in just 8.3 seconds.

Attributes considered when testing the cars included; towing stability, solo driving based on What Car? magazine's road test verdicts, practicality, buying and owning.

The 2009 judging panel in 2009 included Steve Cropley, a European Car of the Year juror and editor-in-chief of Autocar magazine and Sue Taylor, features editor of Camping and Caravanning magazine for over ten years.
