Buehler Motor, Inc., Significantly Expands Customer and Partner Support in North America

International Provider of Mechatronic Drive Solutions Announces at MD&M East New Senior Managers to Grow Partner Network and General Industry Sales

NEW YORK, June 9 -- Buehler Motor, Inc. (BMI), a leading international provider of mechatronic drive and pump solutions with specialties in the medical products, office and building automation industries, has significantly expanded its customer, partner and manufacturer support in North America by announcing two high-profile senior sales and marketing executive appointments.

Lauri Paul has been named national partners manager, and has been tasked with expanding Buehler Motor's national manufacturers' rep market in North America, while Jennifer Smith has joined the company as general industries key accounts manager, with an emphasis on the medical, mobility and building automation segments. Both will be based at Buehler Motor's Morrisville, N.C., headquarters.

The announcements were made by Bob Riedford, Buehler Motor, Inc., president and general manager, at the MD&M East Expo and Conference, June 9-11, 2009, in New York.

"Our long-term goal is to strengthen our commitment to North America by expanding the Buehler team of marketing professionals with experience in partner network development and vertical industry sales," explained Riedford. "Lauri and Jennifer have an impressive track record in meeting industry-specific partner and customer needs, which has always been the backbone of our company. While Buehler Motor provides products and technical expertise to a variety of industries, our customer and partner interface is strictly industry-specific - and these two newest members of the Buehler family will help us deliver on this promise as we grow our business."

Lauri comes to Buehler Motor from Thrane & Thrane, an international manufacturer of wireless communications technology, where she was director of operations, and sales and marketing manager. During her two years with the Copenhagen-based company, she built an extensive U.S. dealer network and generated more than $13 million in sales. Prior to that, she was with the wireless maritime information systems provider Boatracs, most recently as director of sales, after serving as a legal and personnel specialist for the U.S. Coast Guard.

A human resource management graduate of Rice University, Lauri received U.S. Coast Guard certification in Leadership Management, and TQM Facilitation.

Prior to joining Buehler Motor, Jennifer was automotive technical sales manager for the Spunlaid Division of Freudenberg Nonwovens, a global manufacturer of products serving the automotive, clothing/footwear, filtration, acoustics and industrial markets. In this capacity, she was responsible for new market applications and sales development for automotive structural, acoustic and adhesive nonwoven products and systems.

Previously, she served for nine years in senior sales positions in the General Motors and DaimlerChrysler business units at Cooper-Standard Automotive, the Auburn Hills, Mich.-based manufacturer of body sealing, fluid handling and NVH control systems for automotive OEM, tier and aftermarket customers.

Jennifer received bachelors and masters degrees in chemical and mechanical engineering, respectively, from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
