Electric Motorcycle Maker Brammo Broadens Executive Team With New Chief Operating Officer, Interim CFO

ASHLAND, Ore., May 12, 2009 -- With production of the Brammo Enertia plug-in electric motorcycle ramping up, Brammo made another key addition to its executive leadership team. Bruce Gilpin has been named Brammo's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will focus on building the company into a leader in electric vehicle transportation products.

Gilpin joins the Brammo team after serving more than three years as COO for MobiTV, a pioneer and current global leader in mobile television. Gilpin brings a wide range of experience with him as a result of his work in finance, corporate development, and board-of-director-level positions in both public and private sector technology and manufacturing companies including InveSmart, USWeb/CKS and APX. He is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, California with a degree in economics.

Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher (Twitter: @brammocraig) expressed his excitement about the company's newest executive team member saying, "I'm thrilled to have Bruce joining Brammo's executive team, and we're eager to benefit from his operational and business development skills. His interest in 'clean technology' and proven record of success in similar roles makes him a valuable addition as our new COO and interim CFO."

Gilpin's official association with Brammo goes back to 2008 when he became the first non-investor appointed to the board of directors. He will continue serving on the board as he assumes his positions on the executive staff. Gilpin's initial interest in Brammo began while he studied the expansion of "clean tech" during his tenure at APX, a provider of technology, analytics, and carbon credit trading services for the energy and environmental markets.

Gilpin's hiring follows other recent additions to Brammo's leadership team. On May 1, 2009, the company announced several appointments including John Farris (Twitter: @johncfarrisjr) as the Director of Marketing, Adrian Stewart (Twitter: @adriangstewart) as the Director of Channel Development, and Roger Gerson as the Electrical Engineering Manager.
