Tucson, May 1, 2009: As the world celebrates Earth Day, AutoGo Auto Transport employees and drivers are preparing to contribute to help unlock solutions to some of the biggest sustainability challenges of our time, including climate change and air pollution.

Employees are encouraged to make a positive environmental difference, around the corner and around the world.
Through AutoGo’s Make a Change carbon footprint program, employees have together committed to reducing their household carbon footprint by a total of 650 lbs. In the US this equates to an average energy cost reduction of $275 per household.

Vehicles of all kinds are a major consumer of energy and source of air pollution in the United States. Cargo and heavy trucks account about 6 percent of the country’s emissions of carbon dioxide.
The solution to this problem is simple – improve fuel efficiency, move to cleaner fuels, and reduce miles traveled. In order to cut down on global pollutions, AutoGo Auto Transport carriers are encourage to travel with lighter loads, slow down and stop idling. Additional carbon reduction is encouraged with properly tuned engines and combined trips.
