SYDNEY – April 14, 2009: Chrysler Australia has teamed up with IFISH as the official vehicle supplier to the popular TV show. Various vehicles from the Chrysler Jeep and Dodge range will feature, including presenter Paul Worsteling’s Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Now into the fourth season, IFISH has created a cult following of fishing enthusiasts who just can’t get enough of Paul and his team.

“The awesome grunt of the Jeep makes towing over 3 tons of boat and gear an absolute breeze,” said IFISH presenter, Paul Worsteling. “I love this car, its excellent visibility and reversing camera make launching a boat into the water easy.”

ParkView Rear Back-up Camera, ParkSense Rear Park Assist System, MyGIG infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, memory seats and mirrors and iPod connectivity are now standard on all Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited models.

“When filming, timing is everything and there is nothing more time consuming than having to find somewhere to fill up. The Jeep Grand Cherokee solves that problem with the fantastic fuel economy I get from the turbo diesel engine”.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee range starts at $60,690 which includes the efficient turbo diesel engine. The 3.0-litre common rail turbo diesel (CRD) V6 engine produces 160 kW @ 3,800 rpm and 510Nm of torque @ 1,600 - 2,800 rpm. The engine offers class-leading torque and outstanding towing capacity (3500kg). And, clean diesel technology with a combined cycle of 10.2L/100km.

Trailer sway control minimises trailer sway (an alternating yaw of the vehicle) and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic, provides trailer stability and increased towing safety.

Various vehicles from the Chrysler range will be seen throughout the series such as the Dodge Nitro, Journey, Jeep Wrangler, Cherokee, Commander and Grand Cherokee.
