Puerto Rico Interstate All Battery Center Named Store of the Year

Award presented at IABC's International Franchise Convention

DALLAS, March 12 -- Interstate All Battery Center (IABC) franchisees team of Juan and Javier Vento and Eduardo Fernandez was recently recognized as Interstate All Battery Center 2009 Store of the Year at the company's international franchise convention in Dallas.

The award is based on strong operations and sales, maintenance of brand standards, business practices and the store's contribution toward raising the profile of Interstate All Battery Center franchising.

"Juan, Javier and Eduardo's success contributes strongly to IABC's continued growth nationally and internationally with strong business in Puerto Rico and a new location in the Dominican Republic," said Interstate Battery Franchising and Development Director, Justin Darland. The San Juan IABC is located at Avenida De Diego #321, Puerto Nuevo. Recently the store started a new program called "SOS Bateria" which provides emergency battery installation at the customer's location.

During IABC's convention last year, the franchisees were honored with the "Rookie of the Year," award which recognizes one new IABC franchisee for excellent performance. A second Puerto Rico store is scheduled to open in Carolina, summer 2009.

In addition to their retail locations, they have been Interstate Batteries' distributors since 1993 and currently operate two warehouses in Puerto Rico.
