KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – March 9, 2009: Luxury British car manufacturer Bentley Motors Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Bentley Kuala Lumpur as importer and distributor for Malaysia. The appointment of Bentley Kuala Lumpur is an important development for Bentley as it continues to build the brand’s presence in Asia Pacific. In addition to Malaysia, Bentley has representation across South East Asia with dealerships in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. Bentley Kuala Lumpur will report into the company’s regional office in Seoul, South Korea. “We are extremely pleased to announce Bentley’s return to Kuala Lumpur. The revival of Bentley in Malaysia after a year of absence has been achieved through Bentley Kuala Lumpur’s initial investment in a first-of-its-kind, 5000 sq ft gallery in the heart of the capital’s city centre supported by a 7000 sq ft service facility in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

“In our goal to reposition the brand, we have made a strategic decision to set up a gallery at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to form a new landmark in the heart of the golden triangle. Our new team is very passionate about the brand and we want to create an icon; the ultimate facility to inspire our visitors through images and information, allowing them intimate access to the world of Bentley, its glorious past, present and future” Jerry Lee, Bentley Kuala Lumpur Brand Director.

The Gallery, Bentley Kuala Lumpur will officially open on Wednesday, 11th March 2009.

To commemorate the return of Bentley to Kuala Lumpur, special arrangements have been made to present a rare and unique opportunity for Malaysians to view two symbolic racing cars of different eras; the 1924 Bentley 3 Litre Speed; the first Bentley model to win Le Mans, and the 2001 EXP Speed 8; the car that heralded Bentley’s return to racing after 71 years. The 2009 Model Year Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur Speed will also be presented during the private opening event.

Apart from new and bespoke Bentley models, Bentley Kuala Lumpur will also retail Approved Pre-Owned Bentleys, with service support, to cater to the demand expected in the pre-owned market.

With a clear objective and a team with sound experience in the upper luxury automotive industry, Bentley Kuala Lumpur is well positioned to ensure the success of the Bentley marque in Malaysia.
