Extraordinary 1965 Caplan/Guldstrand Corvette Roadster set to stun at Worldwide Auctioneer's Houston Classic Auction.

HOUSTON - January 27, 2009: Worldwide Auctioneers has confirmed that an exceptional and extremely rare 1965 Corvette Roadster will be offered for sale at its fifth annual Houston Classic Auction on May 2nd. Owned and raced by Herb Caplan alongside the legendary Dick Guldstrand, this "8-Ball Cobra killer" was one of the most competitive cars of its day, winning 46 of 49 of its races in one season on the West Coast. The May sale will also include a magnificent Pebble Beach Award winning 1933 Duesenberg LaGrande Dual Cowl Phaeton and a remarkable 1936 Auburn 852 Boattail Speedster, an AACA National First Place Award winner.
