Affordable, Web-Based Tool Taps Data from Six Industry Leaders to Provide Complete View of Used-Vehicle Market

NEW ORLEANS, January 22, 2009: NADA Used Car Guide will unveil its groundbreaking new appraisal product - NADA AppraisalPRO - at the National Automobile Dealers Association Convention & Exposition, in New Orleans, January 24-27. Product experts will be available for demos and media interviews at the NADA Used Car Guide exhibit (#3441) throughout the convention.

NADA AppraisalPRO, available exclusively to all NADA and National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) member dealers in March, will provide dealers with an affordable appraisal product to access a full view of their used-vehicle market, using the latest information and data from six industry leaders:

NADA Used Car Guide - Guide values;
AutoTrader.com - Retail asking prices;
Experian - AutoCheck Vehicle history reports*;
J.D. Power and Associates/Power Information Network - Retail sales transactions;
Manheim Market Report - Auction sales transactions;
vAuto - Ued vehicle market days supply

NADA AppraisalPRO provides dealers with the flexibility to define the market area, input additional information and customize each appraisal by making appropriate adjustments to determine the best number for each and every trade-in.

"This is an industry first web-based appraisal product designed to give dealers a complete picture of their used-vehicle market by combining the resources of industry giants like AutoTrader.com, Experian, J.D. Power and Associates, Manheim, vAuto and NADA," said Mike Stanton, vice president and chief operating officer, NADA Used Car Guide. "As a result, dealers who subscribe to NADA AppraisalPRO will get the information they need, all in one place, to help make better buying and selling decisions."

"Dealers are increasingly focused on their used-vehicle operations," Stanton added. "NADA is in the unique industry position of being able to bring together some of the best used-vehicle data in the industry, at an affordable price, to help dealers when they need it most."

NADA is offering a low introductory monthly subscription rate of $150 for unlimited lookups per site, billable annually or monthly. NADA AppraisalPRO is web-based and doesn't require software, system integration or long-term commitments.
