DENVER, NC January 13, 2009: California native, Justin Lofton, returns for a full season at Eddie Sharp Racing behind the wheel of the Lofton Cattle Toyota. Lofton finished the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Season with a top 15 championship points standing, proving to be a top contender for the Championship title.

During the 2008 season Lofton earned one win, three top five and five top 10 finishes. Lofton has high expectations to improve on those stats this season.

"It's great to be back! I felt that we were gaining momentum at the end of the season last year which will be a great starting point for this season," stated Lofton.

Lofton will be pairing up with crew chief Mark Rette, whose experience in the racing industry has led many drivers, including Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya to victory lane.

"I am glad to be a part of Eddie Sharp Racing this season and I think we have an exciting season coming up for Justin and our team. Right now our main focus is running for the championship," said Rette.

Lofton began his career at the age of 11 racing downhill mountain bikes. In 2001, Lofton claimed the series championship. Lofton moved to racing on four-wheels in 2003 and has not slowed down since, competing in recent years in the NASCAR Camping World Series West and the ARCA RE/MAX Series.
